Madison Church Offers Grant Money To Tackle Homelessness

A Madison church has offered a $130,000 grant to help tackle the issue of homelessness.

"Orchard Ridge United Church of Christ has been a? part of the southwest Madison community for over 50 years," said Rev. Winton Boyd. "Many of our members are residents of these neighborhoods and this effort builds on our long-term commitment as a congregation to serving those in need whenever possible."

The congregation will also create?a Southwest Housing Partnership that will address homelessness issues in several southwest Madison neighborhoods..

Its office will be based on Russet Road in the Joining Forces for Families office.??
